Due to a recent spinoff our client has an immediate opportunity for a 100% remote z/OS Capacity/Performance SME. Qualified applicants will be experienced in providing evaluation of z/OS performance data, as well as establishing trends and workload forecasts. Proven experience in the following areas is essential: Developing service policies and defining service classes for WLM; Mainframe performance and capacity planning including batch, IMS, CICS, DB2, MQ, network, storage and DB2/DB2 Connect; knowledge of real-time monitoring tools (e.g., TMON, Mainview, Sysview, Performance Analyzer and Omegamon); Developing or modifying SAS/MXG programs; and utilizing SMF and RMF to analyze mainframe performance and capacity. This position will interface with systems programmers to establish report classes in support of batch workload analysis so strong verbal and written communication skills are also required. Our client will consider a full time hire or 1099 consultant with the desired skill sets. Compensation commensurate with experience. | |

Our client seeks to add a 100% remote senior Performance Analyst to support a long term government contract. This person will work with Java architects/developers and z/OS systems programmers to analyze performance statistics and collaborate on cross-platform tuning opportunities in support of a large, multi-year modernization project. Required skills and experience includes: z/OS performance analysis; SAS Programming; MXG; Java on z/OS, Unix, and Linux; OMEGAMON, Application Performance Analyzer and Health Center; DynaTrace and AppDynamics (or comparable tools); and excellent communication skills at all organizational and technical levels.
