Joe Gallaher graduated from
Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Civil Engineering. A
longtime Washington D.C. area resident, Joe now splits time between SPCI's East and West coast offices. During
his tenure at SPCI, Joe has
placed almost 1,000 IBM systems programmers and system-level product developers, making him the leading recruiter in the world for this search specialty.
Prior to establishing SPCI he worked as a programmer, computer analyst, and technical writer for various East coast high-tech firms.
Joe is a very active member of
SHARE. He has participated in
over a dozen conferences as a vendor, presenter, and served on an ExecuFORUM panel as an expert on the "Mainframe Skills Gap." He has
also attended several CMG conferences
Joe has previously been a regular attendee of the Mid-Atlantic CICS Users Group and has served on the steering committee of the NaSPA
Capital Area MVS Users Group. Additionally, He has taken classes in Local and Wide Area Networking
(Johns Hopkins University), MVS Internals
(ACTS Corporation), Assembly Language Coding
(Montgomery College), JAVA
Programming (UCLA), and Visual FoxPro (MEI).
He has also completed both graduate and undergraduate level classes at
Georgetown
University, University of Florida, and
USC. Joe also serves as SPCI’s database administrator,
Windows Server/network administrator, and webmaster. In his spare time he
volunteers weekly at Children's Hospital, assembles and repairs PCs,
and stays fit by weight-lifting,
spinning, and taking yoga classes.

Born and raised in the heart of the DC area's I270 Technology Corridor, Chris Evans has more than 25 years experience in both technical recruiting and hardware-related sales and marketing. Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of Maryland in 1979 before pursuing an accomplished career in technical sales, marketing, customer support and management with an international electronics firm. In this capacity he has earned numerous customer satisfaction and President's Club awards.
Since joining SPCI in 1989, Chris has applied his outstanding customer relations and technical skills to expand SPCI's client/applicant base more than
eight-fold. He has also been instrumental in transforming SPCI from a leading regional search firm to the nation's premier search and contracting firm for IBM systems management professionals.
Chris keeps his technical knowledge current through regular attendance
of mainframe-related user group meetings. He has also completed several networking and programming classes at
Montgomery College and attended systems-related MVS and CICS overview courses.
