Senior Mainframe Product Developer - Work from Home

An established software vendor seeks a seasoned product developer to assist in enhancing the functionality and feature sets of their z/OS data management tools. Qualified applicants will have a strong 390/Assembler programming background as well as familiarity with z/OS catalog management, IDCAMS, VSAM structures, and DFSMShsm. Must possess strong troubleshooting skills (IPCS, XDC) and be capable of producing quality work with minimal supervision. Additional expertise with ISPF, REXX, or C/C++ would helpful. This is a work-from-home position.

390/Assembler Product Developer - Work from Home

A US-based software vendor seeks a product developer with five or more years experience creating and maintaining 390/assembler-based commercial products. Qualified applicants must have a strong assembler development background and MVS internals. z/OS experience should include working knowledge of control blocks, dataspaces, cross-memory services, access registers, and supervisor states. Familiarity/exposure to CICS and WebSphere is considered a big plus. Experience with C/C++, Java, TCP/IP, REXX, or DB2 would also be beneficial. Salary commensurate with experience.

zVSE Product Developer - Work from Home (1099 Contract)

This person must have solid VSE internals knowledge along with proven commercial product development expertise. Strong debugging and dump reading skills are a must. An internationally known software vendor has a great job for an experienced L2 Product Support Rep who will be based in their Southeastern U.S. development lab. This person will provide advanced level customer support for a highly regarded suite of mainframe tools. Qualified applicants will have a strong z/OS background that includes good 390/assembler coding skills for creating PTFs, SMP/E installs/packaging, strong systems-level troubleshooting (IPCS, XDC), and good customer interface skills. Excellent oral communication is essential for this position. Experience in product development, QA, or pre-sales support is a big plus. Great growth potential with the opportunity for advancement.
