Senior z/VM-z/Linux Systems Programmer - W-2 or 1099

An immediate need exists in the DC metro area for an experienced z/VM-z/Linux systems programmer to provide support to a Federal Government client. This long term opportunity can be filled as W-2 salaried position with benefits or as a long term 1099 contract. Both options offer competitive compensation. Qualified applicants will have solid experience with installation, customization, maintenance, problem analysis and resolution, and performance monitoring/tuning of z/VM in support of z/Linux guests. z/OS systems programming is a plus. Familiarity with REXX, Pipes, CLISTs, parmlibs and IODF is essential as are strong communication skills and the ability to function well both independently and in a team environment. All candidates must be able to pass a minimum background investigation. Only candidates requiring no relocation assistance will be considered.

zLinux Systems Programmer - New England Data Center
