Senior z/OS Generalist Systems Programmer - 100% Remote

A very stable US-based end user has an immediate need for an experienced z/OS generalist to join a small but talented team supporting their Sysplex environment. Preferred candidates will have experience supporting a z/OS operating system platform and/or one or more subsystems such as CICS, DB2, IMS, or z/OS Comm Server. Experience with z/OS performance tuning, z/VM or JES2 system exit modification is a plus. Mainframe Systems Programmer - Permanent Remote Position

Our client seeks a z/OS generalist systems programmer to assist in supporting most systems-related functions for a small to medium sized mainframe environment. This person should have rudimentary systems support skills in two or (preferably) more of the following areas: z/OS, CICS (CICSPlex a plus), Db2, IMS, Comm Server (VTAM, TCP/IP), security (RACF, ACF2), or DFSMS-managed storage. z/OS Systems Programmer - 100% Remote

Qualified applicants must have a solid background in mainframe systems programming, including SMP/E installation and support of z/OS and ISV software, problem determination, and storage management. Remote z/TPF Specialist - Salary to $180K

Our client is in need of a senior specialist to support a z/TPF operating system environment for a large government data center. This person will be responsible for z/TPF technical support, problem resolution, and remote training; support for all z/TPF hardware and software; support for TPF Control Program via applying PUTs, assembling, linking, and installing new images; system generation, recoup, and capture/restore; and supporting zSeries hardware or software upgrades for the z/TPF environment. Desired experience includes: knowledge of the TPF Toolkit for development, debugging and deployment of z/TPF applications and the ability to test z/TPF software in a VPARS guest environment. Qualified candidates must also be well versed in the z/TPF Build environment and have experience working with TPF supporting hardware technologies including: SACS, DASD, and TOS console. Experience coding in Assembler, REXX, and Java is highly desirable.
