z/OS Systems Programmer - Permanent Remote Support

Due to extreme growth, a leading IT company seeks an experienced mainframe systems programmer for a large, complex multi-LPAR Parallel Sysplex environment. This person should have a solid z/OS systems background and a minimum of seven years experience in installation and maintenance of z/OS. Qualified applicants should have strong troubleshooting skills that hopefully include IPCS dump analysis. Experience with, or exposure to, z/OS-related subsystems such as CICS, DB2, Comm Server is plus. Expertise with HMC/HCD, DFSMS-managed storage, mainframe automation, or GDPS configuration are also considered 'nice to have'. z/OS-z/VM Systems Programmer - 100% Permanent Remote

A successful mainframe end user seeks a senior systems programmer to support a state-of-the-art Parallel Sysplex environment supporting z/OS, z/VM, and z/Linux running 36 production IFLs. The minimum requirement for this position is experience installing and maintaining z/VM and z/OS (SMP/E required). A background in USS, DFSMS-based storage administration, REXX automation, VTAM, TCP/IP, or exit coding are also pluses. Salary commensurate with experience with a strong benefits package.

Senior z/OS Generalist - Fulltime Remote Contract

A stable financial company has a long term contract opportunity for a z/OS generalist who is well versed in SMP/E product installations and has strong problem analysis/resolution skills. The current environment consists of multiple CECs across a five-LPAR Sysplex. Experience with storage management (DFSMS) and hardware configuration (HMC) are definite plusses. Familiarity with z/OS Performance issues including WLM is also highly desirable. This is a 1099 or W2 opportunity with a competitive rate. z/OS Systems Programmer with HCD - Permanent Remote Support

z/OS Automation Specialist - Washington, DC Area

Our DC area client is seeking a long-term contractor to automate and control a large, complex mainframe environment, including monitoring its health and well being. Qualified applicants will be familiar with various automation tools and scripting languages such as REXX, Tivoli NetView, System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS), or CA OPS/MVS. This position will also require systems programmer level knowledge of z/OS and its various subsystems such as Db2, CICS, WebSphere, JES2, and TSO. Experience using z/OSMF is highly desired. This long term W-2 contract is a full time telecommute opportunity during Covid-19 but onsite after that. Metro convenient. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
