Our very stable client has a unique opportunity for a z/OS generalist with five or more years of mainframe systems programming experience in a z/OS environment. Qualified applicants will have good z/OS systems fundamentals that include solid SMP/E installation and maintenance experience and superior troubleshooting skills (IPCS). Qualified applicants will also have systems support expertise in at least three or more of the following areas: z/OS, CICS, IMS, DB2, Comm Server (VTAM, TCP/IP), MQ, or mainframe storage administration (DFSMS). IMS Systems Programmer (2) - Possible Telecommute

Our client seeks two Systems Programmers to assist in all aspects of IMS DB/TM support for their mainframe-committed Florida data center. The first person will provide primary support for business-critical IMS regions and will include a v15 migration in 2019 on a new z14. Recent IMS support that includes v13 or above is required (v14 preferred) for this opening. The second position can be filled by someone with a) decent IMS skills who can provide DB2 systems programming along with backup support for IMS, or) a junior to mid level IMS systems programmer who can grow eventually into a senior role. An internationally known software vendor has a high profile product development position available for someone with solid z/OS internals and very strong 390/assembler coding skills. This person will be a key individual in the design and development of new features and releases for an acclaimed z/OS product line. Qualified applicants will have in-depth experience with MVS supervisor services, access registers, cross memory services, and data management facilities. Exceptional troubleshooting skills are also required, which should include heavy SVC dump analysis (IPCS) and GTF traces. Experience with DB2, IMS, CICS, COBOL, or LE is a big plus. Other desirable skills (preferred but not required) include a background in 64-bit addressing, C/C++, socket programming, TCP/IP, and VTAM. Senior Mainframe Performance Analyst - Compensation to the mid $100s

An Ohio-based leader in the finance industry, with additional offices in Atlanta and Denver, is looking for an experienced z/OS performance analyst. This person will develop and maintain mainframe capacity/performance systems, databases, and reports that will be used to analyze current resource utilization and performance bottlenecks. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of ten years of systems programming experience with specific concentration in performance management for large, multi-processor, multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments. Expert level knowledge of WLM and Parallel Sysplex Coupling Facility are required to update/tune using internal change processes. Additional duties will include acting as technical advisor to applications teams in the areas of batch tuning, VSAM, VSAM/RLS and JCL.
