Mainframe Systems Programmer - Work from Home

Our mainframe-committed client is looking for an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer with a broad z/OS background. Qualified applicants will have a strong but general background in large-scale/high availability mainframe systems skills that preferably include good networking and/or DB2 expertise (installation, customiization, troubleshooting). A strong background in Comm Server (VTAM, TCP/IP, TN3270) installation and support is a big plus. Experience with general z/OS systems programming and systems-level troubleshooting skills are highly desirable. Expertise with hardware configuration (HCD/HCM), database support (especially DB2), or mainframe security/auditing would be particularly useful. Principle DB2 DBA - Salary to the $120s+

A Midwest-based end user has an immediate need for an expert level mainframe DB2 DBA. This person will be responsible for supporting the organization's DB2 databases and ensuring its performance, availability, scalability, and security. Qualified applicants will be experienced in the administration, support, and management of the database technology as well as possess an ability to assist in providing strategic direction for a team of four Senior DBAs. Experience supporting a large data sharing DB2 environment is required. Specific duties will include: database design (logical and physical); development and administration of large scale OLTP databases; SQL performance tuning and load testing support; and optimization of DB2 resource utilization by tuning queries, recommending indexes, and configuring database parameters. Familiarity with IBM's suite of DB2 tools such as IDAA, IDAA Bulk Loader, CDC Replication, Query Monitor, and Omegamon is highly desirable. Experience with REXX scripting and Stored Procedures is a plus. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of DB2 database administration as well as current support for DB2 v11 or v12. Senior Mainframe Performance Analyst - Compensation to the mid $100s

An Ohio-based leader in the finance industry, with additional offices in Atlanta and Denver, is looking for an experienced z/OS performance analyst. This person will develop and maintain mainframe capacity/performance systems, databases, and reports that will be used to analyze current resource utilization and performance bottlenecks. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of ten years of systems programming experience with specific concentration in performance management for large, multi-processor, multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments. Expert level knowledge of WLM and Parallel Sysplex Coupling Facility are required to update/tune using internal change processes. Additional duties will include acting as technical advisor to applications teams in the areas of batch tuning, VSAM, VSAM/RLS and JCL. Experience with SAS coding, SMF/RMF record structures, and TMON performance monitors are highly desirable. Additional plusses include HMC, GDPS, REXX, and Assembler. This high visibility position offers a starting base salary to $140K plus bonus, excellent benefits, and outstanding growth potential. z/OS-z/VM Systems Programmer - Fast Track Into Management

Are you interested in moving into management soon but stuck in a dead end job?
