IT Manager/Lead Systems Programmer - DC Metro Area

A Federal contractor is in need of an experienced manager and technician to oversee a 15 member staff which includes Systems Programming, Production Control, and Operations. Qualified candidates will also assist the systems programming staff in debugging and supporting mainframe-based software as needed. Experience supporting z/OS 2.x operating system in a Sysplex configuration as well as a strong background in REXX-based automation is a plus. This person will assist with planning, coordinating, and managing technical projects as well as providing strategies for implementation of new technologies. A DC area firm, convenient to the Metro, seeks a mainframe systems programmer to assist with installation and support of CICS/TS and WebSphere MQ (MQSeries) in a complex z/OS environment.
