Senior Systems Programmer - Pennsylvania End User

Our PA client seeks a z/OS generalist systems programmer to assist in supporting their mainframe environment. This person should have rudimentary systems support skills in two or more of the following areas: z/OS, CICS (CICSPlex a plus), DB2, Comm Server, performance tuning, storage management, program product support, or z/OS-related troubleshooting. Solid SMP/E installation and maintenance experience is a must. This is a contract-to-hire position with a conversion salary commensurate with experience (midpoint in the low $100s).

DB2 Systems Programmer - Employer Committed to the Mainframe

A Southeast U.S. end user has a great opportunity for an experienced mainframe systems programmer with some DB2 systems expertise and solid z/OS fundamentals. This person will assist with the installation (SMP/E), maintenance, tuning, and support of DB2 and all associated program products. Qualified applicants will have an MVS background that includes a minimum of two years of relevant DB2 systems experience as well as additional mainframe-oriented systems support. An expanding end user has an immediate need for a DB2 z/OS systems programmer with some DBA skills for their multi-LPAR, data sharing environment. This person will be responsible for all aspects of DB2 support including installation, maintenance, configuration, performance/tuning, troubleshooting, and installation of DB2-related OEM products. All applicants must have a DB2 background that includes most of the following: DB2 systems programming support, object change management, database design, and DB2 applications debugging. Exposure to security (RACF) and storage management (DFSMS) as it relates to DB2 is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Relocation assistance available.

DB2 Systems Programmer - Northern Virginia

An established government contractor has an immediate opportunity for an experienced DB2 systems programmer for their z/OS environment. This person will be responsible for all aspects of systems programming support for DB2 and its associated products. This will include DB2-related installation and maintenance (SMP/E), configuration, performance/tuning, and troubleshooting. All applicants must have a proven track record with DB2 v11. Experience with BMC DB2 tools is highly desired. This person will also lead the DB2 v11 to v12 migration planned for later this year. Knowledge of UDB/LUW and DB2 Connect is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience.
